Während sich die Bahn kurz darauf in Bewegung setzte, verließen beide ihr Versteck. Dabei wurde die junge Frau von einem Wagenteil in Höhe der Hüfte erfasst und schwer verletzt. Ihr Begleiter blieb unversehrt.
